Access keys

  1. This website has been designed with user-friendly access keys to provide you with optimal convenience and usability.

    2. The website can be roughly divided, based on function, into four separate sections:

    • The ‘Upper Panel’ at the top
    • The ‘Main Selection’ options to the left
    • The ‘Central Content’ area in the center of the page; and
    • The ‘Picture Links’ to the right
  2. The access keys for this website have been set up as follows:
    • Alt + U: the ‘Upper Panel’ located toward the top of the page includes links to this Sitemap, various language options, and a website-specific search engine. At the bottom of the Upper Panel is another row of options: About TKU, Academics, Research, Administration, FAQs, Contact us, Bilingual Glossary, and Home.
    • Alt + L: the ‘Main Selection’ panel to the left contains the following options: Admissions, Study in TKU, International Affairs, Statistics, TKU Campuses, Web Feedback, Key Projects, Downloads, Special Events, Video Corner, and Culture and Education.
    • Alt + C: the ‘Central Content’ area on the TKU homepage features daily TKU news. On pages other than the homepage, the ‘Central Content’ area contains the primary content of each page.
    • Alt + R: the ‘Picture Links’ to the right display the most popular links for international students, including the links Apply Now, Learn Chinese, and International Programs. This section also provides a link to Tamkang University’s online university brochure, which gives an overview of Tamkang’s history, university structure, and core educational principles.On websites other than the homepage, the 'Picture Links' to the right provide complementary pictures or text content.
    • Alt + S: provides a Google search of the entire website.
    • Firefox and Chrome users should hold down the Shift key before pressing Alt. Therefore, to access the ‘Main Selection’ options to the left, press Shift + Alt + L.
