Tamsui Scenery in detail

Lover's Bridge

Lover's Bridge is a white, cable-stayed pedestrian bridge in Fisherman's Wharf. It is called Lover's Bridge because it officially opened on Valentine's Day, 2003.

With a single slanted tower, the bridge is modeled after a sailing ship's mast and rigging. The lights illuminating the bridge change color at night, creating a romantic atmosphere and making it a favorite spot among couples.

But couples beware: there is a common belief among locals that if you cross the bridge with your loved one, a break-up is sure to ensure. True or not, the bridge's unique design and colorful ambience draws couples from around Taiwan and abroad, who come to take in the famous Tamsui sunset, listen to live music at nearby restaurants, and test the strength of their love on the legendary lover's bridge.
How to get there
The Lover's Bridge is located in Fisherman's Wharf. Simply take a boat from the Tamsui Riverside to Fisherman's wharf and walk along the boardwalk until you reach the Lover's Bridge.
